"Expand your horizons by exploring ours. From mountains to museums, New York has it all!" is the mantra behind the I Love New York movement. This week, the I Love New York blog featured Niche's hometown, beautiful Beacon!

With no shortage of things to do, I Love New York recommends some of our favorite places! Grab a bite and a beer at Dogwood or a bagel sandwich at Beacon Bagel. Visit contemporary art museum Dia:Beacon and continue to art hop on Main Street at the Beacon Artists Union and countless other galleries.

Take a tour of Dennings Point Distillery, shop at boutiques like Reservoir & Wood, American Gypsy Vintage, and quirky stores like Dream In Plastic. At night, catch a musical performance at the legendary Town Crier.

While Beacon is easily accessible from New York City by the Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line and makes a nice day trip, why not make a full weekend out of it? Visit I Love New York's blog for their suggested weekend itinerary and see why Niche calls Beacon home sweet home.
