By Light of the Coast – Ahoy! – Niche Modern Solitaire Pendants in Southport, Maine

More than half the town of Southport is made up of water, and that marine blue coast is drawn inside to dine under the glow of Niche Modern’s Sapphire Solitaire pendants studding the ceiling of the freshly rebuilt Oliver’s Restaurant, at Cozy Harbor Wharf.

Knickerbocker Group, based out of two locations – Boothbay and Portland – served as the architect, builder, and cabinet maker for the project, and it’s a pleasure to have Niche Modern navigate further North into the New England kingdom.

Built from a renovated post and beam barn, the new building marries classic design with modern architectural integrity – the ideal interior to feature several of our Solitaire pendant lights.

The exposed-filament Edison bulb in each Solitaire orb radiates a warmly toned light similar to the repurposed honey-colored wood flooring; we’d like to think our hand-blown Sapphire glass will catch an admiring eye or two from the guests feasting over Oliver’s menu, straight from the deep.

Our lighting collection can’t swim but Niche Modern design will always stay sea worthy.
