Based in Boston, Dietz and Associates captures the essence of their clients' visions, personalities, and lifestyles throughout their projects, and this Newton Residence certainly exemplifies just that. Designed for a busy family of four looking to increase their square footage and upgrade to a larger home, this residence features a stunning mix of traditional and contemporary elements, both inside and out. Niche modern chandelier lighting brings brightness to this bold interior, and we couldn't be more thrilled with how perfectly it ties the conjoining dining room and kitchen together. 

A cluster of Effervescent pendants hang from a Circular-7 Modern Chandelier with a Polished Stainless finish over the dining room table. The Circular Canopy — featuring a staggered grouping of our Pharos, Oculo, and Minaret pendants — creates a contemporary design and looks stunning above the round, custom table.

Created for the family to enjoy meals in a more casual setting, the eat-in dining area achieves a playful aesthetic, with bold accents brightening up the otherwise neutral interior. The breakfast bar in the open kitchen is complete with bar stools, custom upholstered in gorgeous Indigo Faux Leather, to complement the blue hues found in the dining room. The burst of color stands out against the paneled appliances, smokey mirrored backsplash, and custom gray cabinets. 

"Choosing the right lighting fixtures for this space was very important and critical to the cohesion of the large space. We wanted a pendant or chandelier to anchor the breakfast room that would also harken back to the age of the home, incorporating hand-blown glass and fine metals," Dietz says. "We settled on a grouping of Niche pendants with a custom canopy. The variety of shapes available through Niche really cemented our design vision as the Minaret, Oculo and Pharo pendants really complimented the design. The end results were beyond our client’s dreams and our expectations."
