Glass Act

You're in the nation's capital district scouting out inspiring design. Maybe you're looking on the National Mall, designed by Pierre Charles L'Enfant. You pass by the Smithsonian Museum of the Native American by George Gustav Heye, the Vietnam Memorial by Maya Lin, or the Ellipse in front of the White House. But architecture is not something you can bring home, despite how much you may want to.

On goes the hunt for more useful objects of design. A unique cocktail table, a Herman Miller chair, or bench for your front foyer. If you traveled up 14th Street, past Logan Circle Park, and the famous Black Cat, you would soon find all of these things, including a handful of our blown glass pendant lights, at Vastu, Contemporary Furniture Store. Vastu was founded by Jason Claire and Eric Kole in 2002 with the intention of selling unique, original, and high quality products from around the world. Claire and Kole also consult with customers about designing their spaces to their truest potentials.

Vastu featured us in their Design Clique blog recently, and so we thought we'd share with you how special they are to us. Pay them a visit next time you're in Washington, or click through their home page image below to get a better sense of what they have to offer. Go with good design!
