This year, we asked our team to share the invaluable lessons they have learned from their mothers. Here's what they had to say:

My mom is my guiding light because she is the person I can turn to whenever I need someone. I know she will be there during the good times, but I also know she will be there to help me out of the dark.

Samantha

Momma Spoto is there for me no matter what. She makes me laugh, but is always there when I need a shoulder to cry on, too.

Pierre

My mom is my guiding light because of her confidence, her poise, and her hutzpa! She is so strong, independent and amazing!

I have learned that it is okay to ask for help when you need it, and it doesn't make you any lesser of a person.

I have learned that it's really important and healthy to laugh at yourself.

Pierre

I have learned to show up and work hard as hell! I hope to pass that onto my little baby, Hagrid (aka my pug)!

Shannon

I have learned to always be kind to others. You never know what the other person might be going through.

Britney

I have learned to be proud of who you are.

Diana

I’ve learned from my mother that in the end, it will be okay and that I’m a lot stronger than I realize. She’s also taught me that no one can take away your happiness if you don’t let them. I hope one day to be as great as a mother as she is and to teach my children how to navigate the world confidently.

Erica

I hope my kids value what they have in life. And I hope they always realize how lucky they are to live the life that they have.

Sarah

My mom is able to accept bad or stressful situations in a way that I am not. She figures out what she can control and changes her actions to help the situation in the best way she can without hesitation. 

Samantha

She gets excited about the little things. I hope I have that same sense of wonder and excitement when I'm her age!

Jeremy

My mom doesn't take no for an answer.

She makes the “mom thing” look so easy and effortless. I can only hope to be half the mom she is!
