A Warm Grouping of Blown Glass Lights Spotted at Shanghai's Yu Bar

Located right in the heart of downtown Shanghai, just moments from Nanjing Road and the Bund, the Marriott Hotel boasts immaculately designed accommodations and a host of amenities. Overlooking the Huangpu River, the Yu Bar provides generous views of the city at night and the passing boats below. Yu, the traditional Chinese character for elegance and exclusivity, is the inspiration for this interior. Designed by Kokai Studios, this U-shaped bar features a cluster of Niche blown glass pendant lights, which create an intimate atmosphere for guests.

Blown Glass Lights at Yu Bar

This bar is covered in wire rope to represent the shipping industry that played a large role in Shanghai's economic development. Above the countertop hangs a custom cluster of hand-blown glass pendants. The multi-pendant grouping features our OculoBellaPod, Pharos, and Aurora pendant lights in an array of rich glass colors. The Amber, Crimson, and Chocolate pendants are complemented by the deep red chairs and dark wood finish of the bar stools.
