Hal takes a Breath

A few words about Hal, our master contractor: he "owns" the concrete pylon to the right of the entrance at Dunkin' Donuts in Hyde Park, NY because he broke his foot on it during that construction project and his guys were listening to their radio so loudly that no one heard him crying out... for a long time. When the cops were finally called, they went to the McDonalds across the street instead! How's that for ironic?

We really treasure Hal. Every time another hurdle rears its ugly head he's there, with his almighty cell phone, ready to call the right person for the job and "git er done". In this shot he's taking a breath as he preps for trench cutting with his team. 9,000 square feet of glorious old factory looms in the background just over his shoulder: the future Niche Modern glass studio! Go Hal, go!
