Business Spotlight: Niche Modern

Niche was featured in the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation's business spotlight this week.

Here is an excerpt that describes Niche's move from New York City to Dutchess County:

"In 2007, Niche Modern moved from New York City to Beacon, NY – a Mecca for artists and craftspeople in the Hudson River Valley. Beacon was a renowned manufacturing hub for generations but the city began a steady and devastating economic decline in the 1970s. The opening of the famed DIA: Beacon museum nearly ten years ago signaled an exciting rebirth of art, culture and commerce for the city. Niche Modern is just one of the many design companies now calling it home.

Mary and Jeremy officially set up shop – offices, home and warehouse – in a newly renovated loft. The Green Fan Co, originally used the 8,400 sq. ft. building, which was built in 1867."
