Indigo Dyeing workshop

Join Colorant in collaboration with Beacon Mills Dyeworks for a hands-on indigo-dyeing event! Indigo dye comes from an ancient plant that creates nature's deepest blue. Today, most indigo dye you see is made synthetically, but this workshop will give you the chance to use the naturally-made dye. For $15 per person, the evening (4-8pm) workshop includes two dips, tools, demos and tutorials. Find out more about where to go and what to bring.

Beacon 3D

Now in its third year, Beacon 3D is an annual outdoor public art event running from the spring through the fall. Along Main Street, 20 artists have each created and exhibited a sculpture as part of this installation. Beacon 3D aims to enhance the community’s access and enjoyment of art in a free, long-term installation, and to highlight the work of a diverse range of artists. The official opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 2-Way Brewing Company at 2pm with Mayor Randy Casale. Check out the Beacon3D website to see where all the sculptures are located.
