Brooklyn Brownstone Uses Colorful Glass Lighting, Tile, and More

Brooklyn-based designer Jennifer Morris helped save this four-story historic brownstone from potential design disaster! The homeowners didn't think about design before they were in the midst of the gut-renovation process. Luckily, Morris swooped in at lightning speed to make fearless design decisions for the new homeowners.

The results? A perky palette of fun colors, patterns, textures, and let's not forget - lighting! The mid-century kitchen table setting uses Niche's colorful glass lighting to create a modern contrast against the traditional exposed brick. Our Plum, Amber, and Sapphire glass Binary pendant lights pair perfectly with the colorful kitchen tile next door.

The ornately patterned Moroccan tile, bright yellow sink and clock, and teal accents boast the designer's bold approach to color

These colors don't stop there! They are interlaced throughout the entire home. In the bedroom, teal becomes the main color that complements a geometric wallpaper. Together, the colors and lines enhance the preserved floors and  molding in this historic interior.
