Beacon Weekend: Your Handmade Holiday Shopping Hub

The holiday season sure has crept up fast this year. All three of these events are happening in our hometown of Beacon, New York THIS weekend, so you don't want to miss out! There's never been a better time to give the gift of handmade for the holidays!

 

 

1. Pop-Up Sample Studio Sale

 

Four local artists have joined forces to present their work at an in-studio pop-up sale tomorrow, December 5th, from 2pm - 7pm at 9 Hanna Lane. Stop by to find hand-crafted jewelry by Marisa Lomanaco (top left), fragrances and small-batch soaps by Helen Michelsen (top right), ceramic housewares by Avery Menke (bottom left), and woodblock and linoleum prints by printmaker Melissa Schlobohm (bottom right).

 

 

 

2. Catalyst Gallery Small Works Opening Reception

 

Located at 137 Main Street, Catalyst Gallery is hosting their annual small works art show. This group show features paintings, drawings, photography, prints, mixed media and sculpture by more than 50 Hudson Valley artists. All works are for sale and priced accordingly for the holiday gift-giving season. Join in on the fun at the opening reception, tomorrow, December 5th, from 6pm - 9pm.

 

 

 

3. Work:Shop Holiday Artisan Market

 

Work:Shop is a curated holiday pop-up market featuring handcrafted, modern objects from 17 artisans working in the Hudson Valley and New York City. Located just around the corner from Niche at the Wickham Solid Wood Studio, this renovated factory building offers a unique shopping experience with high ceilings, large windows, and lots of light. Stop by both days this weekend at 578 Main Street, 10am - 5pm on Saturday, December 5th and 11am - 4pm on Sunday, December 6th.
