Written by Katie | 12/18/15 6:41 PM

This is it - the last weekend you have to shop for Christmas! Haven't started yet? Now is the time to show these four new Beacon businesses some love for your last minute gift-giving needs.

1. The Pfotoshop

493 Main Street

Open Wednesday - Sunday, 11am - 6pm

Glitz meets casual chic in this newly opened boutique located in the historic Matteawan train station. You'll find perfect seasonal gifts and stocking stuffers as well as housewarming and wedding gifts such as pillows, throw blankets, candles, picture frames, cocktail kits, kitchen odds & ends, and more. There's also a fun digital photo booth where you can pose for photos with friends - and then add the print-out photos to your (belated) holiday cards.

2. Binnacle Books

321 Main Street

Open every day, 12pm - 7pm

Many Beacon residents had been clamoring for a bookstore for years and on November 14th they got their wish! Main Street welcomes Binnacle Books with open arms for all your reading needs. There's something for every bookworm on your gift list - new and used volumes of literature, poetry, nonfiction, political history, art, drama, philosophy, graphic novels, and children's books.

3. Hudson Valley Maker & Artisan Cooperative

133 Main Street

Sharing a storefront with Clay Wood & Cotton, the Hudson Valley Maker & Artisan Cooperative has set up their first brick-and-mortar venue to sell their handmade goods. The Cooperative seeks to bring together makers and artisans throughout the Hudson Valley to share in technical education, idea generation, and their final products. Shop the new retail location to find whimsical, upcycled decor and furniture for the homemaker on your list.

4. HudsonGold Pop-Up Shop

201 Main Street, open Saturdays, Sundays and sometimes Fridays

Proprietress and furniture painter Laura Klehr Keyes has made the Zora Dora Ice Cream Paletaria her pop-up shop's home during their off-season. Keyes is an expert with preparing furniture to be painted - brushing, waxing, sanding and a variety of techniques and hopes to hold classes at a permanent location in the future. Her finished furniture pieces don't last long in the shop, but you can also find hand-printed towels and table runners, centerpieces, candles, fragrances, and spa accessories.
