The Pointelle Series is Made up of two Sleek and Sexy Shapes

NEW YORK, New York (May 2015) - Niche, the Beacon-based company known for its stunning hand-blown glass designs, is thrilled to present the Pointelle Series at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in Manhattan. Made up of two sleek and sexy shapes, the Pointelle will be sure to add a touch of glamour to any environment. Offered in Pointelle Grand and Pointelle Petite, the pendants look stunning when clustered and cascaded together. Each piece of glass diffracts and diffuses light in an elongated pattern creating a beautiful shower of dancing light. Like all of Niche’s offerings, each Pointelle pendant is designed and blown by hand in Beacon, New York.

Jeremy Pyles, Niche’s co-founder and creative director, notes, “The interesting thing about the Pointelle pendant is that there are almost no straight lines, and yet they aren’t curvilinear either. They are a very round, soft shape that ends in a perfect raindrop point that can only be achieved by gently pulling each tip by hand.” Pyles continues, “Pointelle Petite is a slender silhouette, while Pointelle Grand is more voluptuous in shape. We envisioned the smaller size being installed in multiples to create a chandelier effect, or mixed together with the larger silhouette for a dramatic, bolder impact.” The series is highly customizable allowing shapes to be paired and clustered in 3, 5, 7, 9 or more, to achieve the desired density and look.

The collection is offered in a range of signature Niche colors, but we’re excited to be introducing Optique and Torrent- two new effects that are sure to dazzle. Multi-pendant canopy options are also available.
