NEW YORK, New York (May 2015) - Niche, will proudly introduce Helio at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in May. As its name implies, Helio provides light from a single source, much like the sun. It features a sleek, minimal and contemporary silhouette that is suitable for commercial, hospitality and residential settings. Handmade in Niche’s Beacon-based factory, Helio is offered in new pop colors that will brighten any space.
Jeremy Pyles, the creative director and co-founder of Niche Modern, notes that, “We’re constantly doing new product development and experimenting with glass shapes and bulb options at Niche. Helio was inspired by our Pharos pendant, but we wanted a more compact shape that could stand alone and also be grouped together. Helio works especially well clustered and cascaded, creating a meteor shower effect.” Pyles adds, “Helio will make its debut at ICFF and mark our company’s return to the much-anticipated design show.”
Like many of Niche’s new lighting products, Helio works on both 120v and 240v electrical settings. As Niche grows into a more global brand the importance of designing products that are versatile and work around the world is essential. Helio can be used with an array of different lamping options, including, but not limited to: incandescent, compact fluorescent, and LED bulbs including the Philips Slim Line dimmable LED bulb, readily available to consumers.
In Helio, Niche has created a well-designed, luxurious, high-end lighting pendant that comes with a very reasonable price tag. Multi-pendant canopy options are also available.
