Solitaire Pendants Lights hanging at Type Bookstore in Toronto, Canada
Karl, from the Startup Daily, shared this great piece in his blog post following his week-long attendance of the torrent that is the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. The video is called “The Joy of Books” and is created by Type Bookstore in Toronto, Canada. What an awesome feast for the eyes!
At :26 seconds you can see two handblown Niche Modern Solitaire pendants in Smoke above the register. We just love how creative and totally awesome our customers are!
Thanks Karl and thank you Type Bookstore for the reminder!
We were so excited when Grace Bonney of the lovely Design Sponge blog told us about her first book publication and invited us to contribute images of our loft construction. After more than a year of hard work Grace finished her book: Design Sponge at Home and Niche Modern is featured at the very end with images of our 2008 massive renovation of the 19th century loft we now call home (for our family and offices) in Beacon New York. We are very happy for Grace, honored to be included and wish all of our friends at Design Sponge much continued success!

Now this is truly a sight to behold! A great restaurant in an even greater hotel. And KENTUCKY, no less… not to mention the chandelier hanging above the sidewalk outside. Proof on Main is the brain-child of Louisville philanthropists and art collectors, Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson. It is one part of the 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, designed by architectural firm, Deborah Berke & Partners. 21c is an ongoing project, started by Laura and Steve, focused on revitalizing urban centers by making art accessible and interactive, to the public and visitors of the local areas. For two years in a row, 21c has won best hotel in the United States, according to rankings in Conde Nást Traveler, and has ranked in the Gold List for 2011. Laura and Steve, alongside Deborah Berke & Partners, are currently planning new projects in Austin, Bentonville, Cincinnati, Nashville, and Atlanta.
The Smoke Solitaire Pendant found in Terroir wine bar in Tribeca
Our Solitaire modern pendant has stolen its way into a video of the New York Times’ Frank Bruni interviewing Paul Greico, owner of Terroir, a wine bar in Tribeca (with another location in the East Village). Prompting the spotlight, Greico has officially declared, since June 21st, that this is the “Summer of Riesling.” The only wine he will serve by the glass through September 22nd, is Riesling!
