2008 City Guide New York blurb
Niche Modern
Specialists in original glass light fixtures, all hand-blown in the US, Niche Modern is the sort of place where you shop first and then try to work out how on earth you are going to get your purchases back home in one piece much, much later. We are particularly fond of a collection commissioned from the designer Jeremy Pyles (above). His stunningly simple range of lights come in a variety of colours, shapes and finishes, but all share a ruthlessly pared-down aesthetic that is very much in evidence throughout the showroom. You’ll be blown away.
- 2008 Wallpaper* City Guide New York
Niche Modern is thrilled Wallpaper* Magazine’s City Guide to New York has chosen our hand-blown glass pendants as favorites, citing them as both unique in their design and simple in their aesthetic. The Stamen, pictured here in Amber, is a fine example of their praise.

We Love NY
Sunday Times Inside Out 06 Aug blurb
“Our pick of the hottest products from New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair – go on, be the first to get your hands on them: Hand-blown glass ‘Aurora’ pendant light in Amber – named after the phenomenon seen in the skies when charged particles ‘dance’ as they enter the earth’s magnetic field, the lights, with exposed filament bulbs, are available in translucent hues of greys and ambers.”
– The Sunday Times (UK) Inside Out, August, 2006
Inside Out, via the UK’s Sunday Times, showed much love to our modern Aurora pendant lighting, citing it as a favorite from New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair.

Marriage of Styles
Metropolitan Home 06 Feb
“Opposites attract, so when disparate periods from a union, a room gets to live happily ever after. When function and high style wed, it’s smart as well as chic. Smoked glass gives Jeremy Pyles’s ‘Solitaire’ hanging lamp a fashionable industrial look.”
-Metropolitan Home, February 06
Our Solitaire pendant light becomes the focal point, combining a simple shape with striking modern design, in a room featured by Metropolitan Home Magazine.
