CT Cottages & Gardens

This Connecticut coastal home that sits above the Long Island Sound in Greenwich was recently renovated to transform an old 1930s Spanish stucco into an urban-dwellers dream house. When the home owners were drafting their plans, the couple enlisted the help of Manhattan-based designer Jamie Drake. Drake hoped to blend the desires of a Manhattan couple with the tone and styles customary to Connecticut. The end results are an elegant and traditional house that incorporates contemporary furniture and millwork, but harks back to times gone by.

Niche Modern Stamen Pendant Stamen Pendant in Smoke

Inside the kitchen hangs a set of four Niche Modern Stamen pendants in Smoke. Hand crafted and made uniquely for the couple, each Stamen pendant houses a tubular style filament bulb. The design and signature tuck of the piece illuminates the custom stone work and deep hues of the taupe cabinetry. The filament bulb provides the glamour and style of the the past, completing the design goal set by the couple. Niche Modern Stamen pendants are contemporary in design and accented with a vintage style that mixes well with the marble and stone work, reflecting back to the Stamen's nature inspired roots.
