Kitchen Island Pendant Lighting Adds Soft Glow in Santa Barbara Home

Interior Designer Michelle Beamer was tasked to transform this classic Santa Barbara, Spanish-style home into an interior with clean lines, bold colors, and modern furniture. The clients requested that the kitchen be a bright space marrying all of their wishes, and Beamer acheived just that. With the help of Niche kitchen island pendant lighting, this residence beautifully reflects the homeowners' vision. We couldn't be more pleased with the result.

A linear grouping of Niche Solitaire pendants in Smoke glass hangs above the kitchen island, helping to visually define the space. The olive-colored hue of our signature Smoke glass complements the dark-stained ceiling beams, medium-toned wood floor, bronze hardware, and custom exhaust hood. The Smoke glass also adds warmth to the interior, especially standing out against a backdrop of ivory cabinets and marbled backsplash.

"This is what I love about the Niche fixtures; the shapes seem simple, but upon further inspection, you can tell they are not easy to make," Beamer says. "The shapes have that extra something; a flip on the inside, or a beveled edge. And the colors are rich and beautiful! The Niche pendants help bring the kitchen from predictable and pretty to unexpected and original."
