Niche extends a warm congratulations to Design Within Reach and their newly expanded Seattle location! The opening party looked like a lot of fun and our Pod and Stamen modern pendant lights are enjoying their more spacious location! 

Design Within Reach (DWR) started when founder Rob Forbes tried to furnish his apartment with designs he fell in love with while living in London. He discovered it was difficult to get his hands on items from top designers without knowing a "secret handshake" or waiting months for delivery. He wanted attainable design at his fingertips, and the idea of DWR was born.

The mission of DWR is to make authentic design accessible. "Within reach" means in stock and ready for the consumer. Designs include iconic works that have been in production since the mid-20th century, to innovative items designed today. 

The Seattle location occupies a fresh, renovated building in the Pike Place Market neighborhood, rich with history, shops, restaurants, and sightseeing.

Now with ample space, the studio provides unique settings to help you envision how furniture and other designs might fit in your own home. The eye-catching Light Cloud that hangs overhead is a cluster of modern lighting fixtures which our Pod and Stamen pendants inhabit.
