The New Industrial Beacon

The Dia Art Foundation has a rich history in the Hudson Valley. Since Dia:Beacon opened it's doors in 2003, the museum has helped rejuvenate our city by creating an epicenter for the arts. This past weekend, Niche Modern and Dia:Beacon teamed up to explore the roots and history of the buildings we occupy as well as the tradition of manufacturing and the arts in our community.

The day began with a private tour of Dia: Beacon and discussion about the origins of the Nabisco box printing factory that was renovated into the world class Contemporary art museum it is today. The group then traveled up main street to our facility where we continued the discussion by telling the story of how manufacturing has evolved in our complex since the mid 19th century.
